The upper is a grain leather in a tan/brown, that looks and feels waxy, like rugged walking shoe. However, thanks to its plain round toe, derby lacing and simple stitch design on the side panels, this shoe is equally at ease in a formal environment.
The extra wide fit, and the thick padded insole all add to the superior comfort. Underfoot is a more rugged outsole than the stereotypically formal separate heel, but this adds to the charm of this hybrid shoe.
